MOGO Uganda’s Trophy Cabinet Just Got Even Bigger!

Our trophy cabinet is starting to look a little crowded and we are not complaining! This year, our team has been on an unstoppable run, bagging victories and podium finishes across the country, proving that at MOGO, we are as competitive on the court as we are in the financial space.

Our latest addition to the cabinet comes fresh from the hills of Fort Portal, where we claimed the 2025 Corporate Champion title at the prestigious Wazei Volleyball Open. In its 17th edition, the tournament brought together clubs, secondary schools, tertiary institutions, universities, and corporates at the historic Boma Grounds. After two days of intense matches, we returned home not just as participants but as champions, with the gold to prove it.

Before the Fort Portal victory, our team showcased their skill and grit at the Jinja Open Tournament. Facing tough competition, we battled our way to the finals and proudly took home the silver medal. It was a hard-fought campaign, and the experience only sharpened our resolve to go for gold in the next challenge.

Mukono Magic – UCU Open Tournament Champions
And then came the victory that made August truly unforgettable, the Uganda Christian University Open in Mukono. Held on August 2nd–3rd, this tournament saw us rise to the top in the Corporate Category, competing against top-tier teams from Diamond Trust Bank Uganda, Equity Bank Uganda, Centenary Bank, and more. Our teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship were on full display, earning us yet another gold for the shelf.

Our CEO, Mikhail Vydryn, couldn’t hide his pride, praising the team’s relentless dedication and challenging them to keep raising the MOGO flag high. These victories are more than just medals and trophies , they are a reflection of our values: teamwork, resilience, and the drive to excel.

From Mukono to Jinja to Fort Portal, our corporate volleyball journey this year has been nothing short of electricity. And as our trophy cabinet grows, so does our passion to keep winning, not just for the glory, but for the joy of representing MOGO Uganda with pride.
